Common questions

Your account and signing in

Where are my films?+
Everything you rent or buy is in My Credo. On the website, open My Credo. In the Credo app on your phone or TV, choose My Credo. Make sure you're signed in with the same email you used to pay. If a film is missing, see "I bought a film without signing in" below.
I bought a film without signing in. How do I watch it again?+
When you buy with just your email, we set up a Credo account for that email and send you a "Watch your film" link. That link works for 30 days. To watch after that, or on another device, sign in with the same email. Choose "Sign in without a password" and we'll email you a sign-in link. If you'd like a password, use Forgot password to set one.
Can I sign in with Apple or Google?+
Yes, where you see the "Continue with Apple" or "Continue with Google" button. If your Apple or Google email matches your Credo email, you'll land in the same account and see the same films. If you chose "Hide my email" with Apple, Apple gives us a different address, so you may end up in a new, empty account. If that happens, sign out and sign in with your email instead.
How does the email sign-in link work?+
On the sign-in page, choose "Sign in without a password", enter your email and select Send sign-in link. Open the email on the device you want to watch on and tap the link. The link in the email works for 7 days. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, then send a new one.
I forgot my password.+
Go to Forgot password and enter your email. If there's a Credo account for it, we'll send a reset link. You can also skip the password and use a sign-in link instead (see above).
It says I already have an account.+
That means someone has already used that email with Credo. Maybe you bought a film or a ticket before, or signed in with Apple or Google. Sign in with that email. If you never set a password, choose "Sign in without a password". If you bought a film while signed out and see "Payment received. This email already has a Credo account", sign in with that email and the film will be in My Credo.
Can I change the email on my account?+
Not yourself at the moment. Email support@credostudios.com from your current address and tell us the new one.

Renting and buying

What does renting mean, and how long does it last?+
A rental lets you watch a film as many times as you like for a set number of days. The number is shown on the film's page before you pay, and it's often 30 days. The days start when you pay, not when you press play. To see how many days you have left, open My Credo.
What does Buy mean?+
When you buy a film you can watch it any time, as often as you like, for as long as it's on Credo. It's there in My Credo on every device you sign in on. There's no subscription and no monthly fee.
Can I turn a rental into a purchase?+
Yes. Open the film's page while you're signed in and choose Upgrade to a purchase. The price is shown before you pay.
Why can't I buy a film in the app?+
Some films can't be bought inside the phone or TV apps. When that happens, the app shows a code to scan or tells you to visit credostudios.com. Rent or buy there while signed in with the same email, and the film will play in the app too.

Watching on your TV

Which TVs can I watch on?+
Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, Samsung Smart TV and LG Smart TV. On your TV, open its app store, search for Credo and install it. Anything you rent or buy on the website plays on your TV too.
How do I sign in on my TV?+
Open Credo on your TV and choose Sign In. Your TV shows a code. Scan it with your phone, or go to credostudios.com/device on your phone or computer and type it in. Then approve the sign-in. The code only works for a few minutes, so if it stops working, go back on the TV and get a new one. On Roku you can also sign in with your email and password.
The TV code isn't working.+
Make sure you're signed in on your phone with the account that has your films, then try again with a fresh code from the TV. If you're using a family profile, the account holder needs to approve the TV. If you scanned the code and nothing happened, open the link in a regular browser tab, not a private one.

Playback problems

My film won't play or keeps stopping.+
Check your internet connection, then reload the page or restart the app. If it still won't play, try another browser or device. If the problem doesn't go away, email us the film's name and the device you're using (see "Contact us").
It says the film is playing on another device.+
In a web browser, your account can play one film on one screen at a time. If you start watching somewhere else, the first screen pauses. Select Play here to watch on this screen instead.
A film in My Credo says "Expired".+
"Expired" means the film can't be watched on this account any more. Either the rental period ended, and you can rent it again from the film's page, or a film you bought has left Credo, since bought films play only while they're on Credo. If you think this is a mistake, contact us.
Can I download films to watch offline?+
Not yet. You need an internet connection to watch.

Payments and refunds

I think I was charged twice.+
If you pay on the website for a film you already have, we refund the extra payment automatically and email you to let you know. Refunds can take 5 to 10 business days to show on your statement. If you see two charges and didn't get that email, write to support@credostudios.com with the email you paid with, the film and the date.
Where's my receipt?+
If you paid in the iPhone, Apple TV, Android, Fire TV or Roku app, your receipt comes from that app store. If you paid on the website, anything we send about your payment goes to the email you paid with, so search that inbox and your spam folder for "Credo". Can't find what you need? Email us the address you paid with and the film, and we'll help.
Can I get a refund?+
Film rentals and purchases are final under our Terms. But if something went wrong, like a film that won't play or a payment you didn't mean to make, email us and we'll look into it. If you paid in an app store, the refund request goes to that store.

Gifts and access codes

How do gifts work?+
When a film can be given as a gift, its page shows a gift option. Choose it and enter your friend's email. They get an email with a link and have 30 days to claim the gift. To claim it, they create a free Credo account, and the film shows up in their My Credo. If you've bought the film yourself, gifting it is half price.
I have an access code from my parish, school or group.+
Open the link your organization sent you, sign in or create a free account, and claim your access. The page tells you how long your access lasts. If the link says the code is full, paused or expired, contact your organization's coordinator, or email us.
I have a discount code.+
Enter it at checkout on the website, in the promotion code field, before you pay.

Screenings and events

Where is my ticket?+
We email your tickets, with a QR code for each, right after you buy. If you're signed in with the same email, they're also in My Tickets. Didn't get the email? Check spam, then email us with the event name and the email you used.
What happens at the door?+
Show the QR code on your phone or printed out. The host scans it and you're checked in. If you have more than one ticket, each one has a separate QR code.
I reserved seats to pay cash at the door. What now?+
Your seats are held. Bring the amount shown in your reservation email, pay the host when you arrive, and show your QR code. If you'd rather skip the cash line, open your reservation and choose Pay now online. Can't make it? Open your reservation and choose Cancel my reservation so your seats go back on sale.
Can I get a ticket refund?+
If a screening is cancelled or can't go ahead, email support@credostudios.com within 7 days of the event date. If you paid cash at the door, the host handles any refund. See section 7 of our Terms for details.

Privacy and email

How do I stop marketing emails?+
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Credo email, or change your choices in Email preferences. You'll still get the emails we need to send about your tickets and your account.
How do I control how my activity is used for ads?+
Go to Your Privacy Choices and turn on "Don't use my activity for ads". If you're signed in, it's saved to your account.
How do I delete my account?+
Go to Delete account or the bottom of your Account page. Deleting is immediate and can't be undone, and you lose access to every film on the account. If your account runs screenings or access codes, email us and we'll help.

Contact us

How do I contact Credo?+
Email support@credostudios.com or call +1 (828) 482-7336. Tell us the email on your account, the film or event, and the device you're using, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
