In April 1945, the Catholic priests imprisoned at Dachau sensed the war was ending and began a novena to St. Joseph of Kalisz, asking for protection. They didn’t know Heinrich Himmler had ordered the execution of every prisoner in the camp. Dachau was liberated only hours before that order was to be carried out. Our Liberator tells the story of the priests who never forgot it.
